Best Gardens To Visit In Devon

Gardening has become super trendy in the last couple of years and garden influencers have been popping up all over Instagram and TikTok! We love nothing more than getting out in our garden, popping in new plants and creating a little haven of calm. When we need a little inspiration we head out on a sunny day to wander around the gorgeous gardens in Devon, and usually come home with an extra plant or two! We've put together the best gardens to visit in Devon...

RHS Rosemoor, Torrington

Snuggled in a Devon valley, this garden is one of our favourite places! In the summer we love the colour and scent of the rose gardens and in the winter visiting the Glow event is one of our festive highlights. Plenty of inspiration to be found from the cottage garden to the veg garden, plus an amazing shop full of beautiful plants to take home.

Tapeley Park, Instow

On a hot summer's day the Italian terraces at Tapeley with views over the river Torridge and north Devon coastline will have you feeling like you've been whisked away to the shores of Lake Como (Aperol spritz at the ready!). With beautiful gardens, lakes, vegetable gardens and woodland to explore, it's the perfect place for a day out.

Dartington Hall, Totnes

Over the last 1000 years these amazing Grade II listed gardens have been tended and shaped. Look out for the incredible stepped lawn, the natural wilderness areas, ancient trees and hidden sculptures. You can even stop for lunch in the medieval Great Hall!

Arlington Court, Barnstaple

One of our favourite days out! Not only are there Victorian gardens, walled gardens and exotic conservatories, but also a beautiful house, carriage museum, deer park and more.

Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, Budleigh Salterton

64 acres of some of the most stunning gardens you'll ever see! With huge glass houses older than those at Kew Gardens and gardens designed by André Le Nôtre who also designed the Gardens of Versailles, you know you are in for something special.

Looking for some accessories for your garden? We've got everything from shed keyrings to handmade wooden signs for 'Dad's Shed', 'please shut the gate', 'muddy boots off please' and more. Take a peek...
