You've probably guessed from our name and branding - we love the coast! We feel so lucky to live near the sea and our little studio floor is always dusted with sand from our bare feet in the summer or dotted around with our latest beachcombing finds in the stormy winter months.
North Devon has an incredible coast line, from the wild high lands of Exmoor to wooded valleys, waterfalls and sandy coves. So let's get out an explore as we share the best beaches in North Devon with you...
Tunnels Beach
This one is so unique! A network of handcarved tunnels lead through the cliffs and out onto sheltered beaches and a tidal Victorian bathing pool. A great place for rock pooling too!
Woolacombe Beach
This one is no secret, but we have to include it for our love of belly boarding here! Best enjoyed outside of the school holidays when it can get a bit crazy. But on a warm spring day or a late summer evening nothing is better than grabbing a wooden belly board, hitting the surf and riding those waves.
Graysands Beach
A great one to hit up in those crazy summer months as you can usually find a nice quite spot to yourself. We like to follow the path around from Appledore as the view across the river are so pretty.
Peppercombe Beach
A gorgeous stretch of coast path will take you down through woodland valleys to Peppercombe Beach and nearby Bucks Mill. Dramatic coastline, quiet beaches, waterfalls and blue sea - perfect!
Wild Pear Beach
Because it's a 30 minute walk along the coast path from Combe Martin it tends to stay lovely and quiet, so even on a sunny day you can easily have it all to yourself.
