To celebrate the release of our brand new Oak collection (don't miss our competition where you can win a piece of your choice from the Oak range!), we are sharing our best woodland walks in Devon! So pull on those boots, snuggle up in a cosy scarf and let's head out and explore the outdoors...
Watersmeet
A beautiful circular walk takes you from Watersmeet, through the dramatic river gorge, past waterfalls and ancient woodland and down to the sea at Lynmouth. You can then stroll back through the woods to complete your walk of just under 4 miles. Fairly easy walking but boots or wellies recommended.
Tarka Trail South Loop
We love to follow the south loop of the Tarka Trail from Bideford to Great Torrington. Here the path starts off alongside the wide river, winding inland as it slowly becomes a smaller valley full of woodland and birdsong. Great for walkers or cyclists!
Tarr Steps Woods
Near the ancient clapper bridge there are some lovely circular walks through the woodland alongside the river. Keep an eye out for otters! Plenty of spots for picnics, paddles or doggy swims too.
Fernworthy Forest
Ancient secrets lie at the heart of this forest high in Dartmoor! Explore and you'll uncover mysterious stone rows and stone circles hidden deep in the woods. With amazing views across the moor, you can warm up at The Warren House Inn at the end of your walk.
Dartington Hall Estate
880 acres of forest, rivers and gardens are waiting for you to explore! From seeing deer roaming, to exploring manicured gardens, wild woods or valleys, there are plenty of paths and trails to try.
